LED screen on the 7777 Gaming exhibition stand in Lisbon

A stand for 7777 Gaming at SBC Summit in FIL Lisbon. A stand that can be seen from far away, in a hall with dozens of competitors - 7777 exhibits several times a year and comes back with us to Lisbon, London and Barcelona.

Our part was the LED and the rigging only. The stand was designed and built by Expo Company; the drawing of the LED shapes was agreed with them in advance. 81 m² of P1.8 in five shapes above and on the stand: two round rings, Ø 4 m and 1 m high - 12 m² each, 24 m² in total; a rectangle 1 m high, with long sides of 2 × 7 m (14 m²), short sides of 2 × 4.5 m (9 m²) and four corners (4 m²); below, two 5 × 3 m screens - 30 m². Everything hung to an approved rigging plan, within the hall’s build-up window. A technician on the stand for the whole period; everything travels on the truck from Sofia.

A stand you can read from the other end of the hall - at SBC Summit, the fastest-growing trade show in the industry.

How the work went

A round LED ring is not a standard product. The cabinets are curved and assembled into a circle, and each ring hangs from its own structure. The drawing of the five shapes was agreed in advance with Expo Company, so that the hanging points matched the stand’s structure and the rigging plan the venue approves. Installation happens in the window the venue gives before opening; a delay there is paid for in hours by the whole chain, so the truck leaves Sofia with everything: screens, structure, cables, spares.

A 1.8 mm pitch means a picture you can watch from a metre away with no visible grid. That is exactly what a stand needs when people walk past it at arm’s length, and from a distance the rings and the rectangle read as one glowing volume above the stand, from the other end of the hall.

An LED stand at a trade show in Europe runs on three schedules: the stand builder’s, the venue’s (rigging plan, build-up window, fire certificates) and the transport’s. We can take on just the LED and the rigging, as here, or the whole stand together with the screen, from one team. Which venue, when the build-up window is and who builds the stand are the three questions a quote starts with on the expo LED display page.
