Laser show at Webit in the John Atanasov Hall, Sofia

For organisers, agencies, municipalities and productions

Laser show - the finale the room remembers, without a second of fire

Every event needs an ending. Fireworks are banned more and more often, they fill the hall with smoke and they frighten animals. A laser delivers the finale - timed to the music, with an operator at the desk, cleared with the venue. We have done it everywhere from a square in Stara Zagora to the stages in Qatar.

  • Stara Zagora Municipality
  • Bulgarian Volleyball Federation

More and more venues say “no” to fireworks

The mayor signs a ban because of the dogs in the neighbourhood. The indoor hall allows nothing that burns or smokes. The fortress is a listed monument and the fire service says no. The wedding is in a garden with animals. The audience is ten metres away and the insurer has questions.

But the event still needs a finale. A moment when everyone raises their phones.

A laser gives you that without any of the above. It doesn’t burn, smoke or bang, and it leaves nothing on the ground. It works in a closed hall and over an entire city. It stops and starts on command - unlike a fuse, which runs to the end once it’s lit.

Four steps, one point of responsibility

  1. Brief.

The venue, the music, the length, what has to be seen at the end. If there is a logo to draw, it goes in here.

  2. Programming.

The show is written second by second to the music before it ever reaches the venue. You see a visualisation, not a surprise on the night.

3D visualisation of a laser maze with red beams around an exhibit on a plinth in a hall with columns
Candy Crush, a laser maze around an exhibit: a 3D visualisation before the shoot - this is how the client sees the show before it exists. Delivered to match it, one to one.
Laser show soundcheck in an empty hall before the event
The show is seen for the first time in an empty hall, not in front of the audience.
  3. Coordination with the venue.

Heights, rigging points, beam direction relative to the audience, power. If the venue is near an airport, we tell you in advance that the aviation authorities need to be notified. The organiser files the notice and we prepare the technical part; if needed, we file it ourselves. It rarely comes up, but it must not be a surprise on the day.

  4. Operator on site.

The show doesn’t run off a timer. A person stands at the desk and watches the room. If the music starts ten seconds late, the finale starts ten seconds late - it doesn’t go off in silence.

The laser show operator at the desk with timecode, the audience in front
Khobar. The show runs to timecode - second by second, with a person at the desk.

The beam passes over people’s heads

This is the question an organiser only asks after the first bad experience. We ask it ourselves, before every show.

The audience is outside the beam.

The beams pass over people’s heads or are stopped before they reach anyone. The direction is set when we coordinate with the venue and is not changed out of “inspiration” during the show.

The operator can see the room.

If someone climbs onto someone’s shoulders, if a balcony opens, if the stage shifts - the person at the desk reacts, not the software.

The venue knows what’s coming.

Venue management, security, the fire service for outdoor shows - everyone is informed before, not during.

We have worked live in front of TV cameras and at festivals with tens of thousands of people. One incident would put an end to that. That is why the operator keeps a hand on the stop button throughout the show, not on a phone.

The show’s toughest buyer is the artist’s lighting designer

When a global artist comes to a festival, their lighting designer or technical director travels with them. They have one set and one night. They don’t know the venue, they don’t know the local equipment and they trust no one until they have seen them at work.

We know these people. When they reach the desks in the middle of the arena - FOH, front of house, where the show is run from - and see us at the laser desk, they stop asking. We have done their show before - in another country, at another festival.

They come back.

One of them, on camera:

“Great team. Amazing equipment. Thank you so much for the support on all the shows in Europe - Austria, Serbia… everywhere we were.”

If you already rent a screen from us

Same team, same install day, same person you call. The laser is programmed together with the screen content - the logo appears on the wall and, at the same moment, is drawn in the air.

The equipment

We are an official partner of Kvant Lasers, Slovakia. The configuration is built for each show - as many beams as the venue needs. Whatever isn’t in our Sofia warehouse comes directly from Slovakia.

We don’t rent out lasers by the day without an operator. Not because we can’t, but because the show is the programming and the person at the desk, not the box. If you only need laser projectors for your own production - call us, and we’ll tell you honestly whether and how.

If you want to buy: the full catalogue with prices is on the manufacturer’s site.

Kvant Lasers, all products

Why there is no price list on this page

Because the price is for the show, not for the watts. The same equipment can do three minutes over a wedding or fifteen minutes over a city, and those don’t cost the same. The price covers programming to the music, coordination with the venue, transport and the operator for the whole evening.

Send us the date, the venue and what you want to happen at the end. You get a quote within 24 hours with an exact amount and what it includes - not a range.

Frequently asked questions

Can you do a laser show in an indoor hall?

Yes. It’s our most common use - conference halls, arenas, hotel function rooms. There is no fire, no sparks and no residue. For volumetric beams we use a hazer or fog machine - a light mist, not smoke from burning; for a logo on a wall you don’t even need that. We agree beam heights and direction with the venue management in advance.

Can you do it outdoors, and are there restrictions?

Yes - squares, fortresses, stadiums, parks. The main restriction is being close to an airport: there, the aviation authorities need to be notified. Formally the organiser files the notice; we tell you in advance whether it’s needed and prepare the technical part. It rarely comes up.

How long does a laser show last?

Usually 3-10 minutes, as a finale or an opening. Longer is possible, but the audience’s attention works best in that window.

Is it dangerous for the audience’s eyes?

With correct programming - no. The beams pass over people’s heads or are stopped before the audience; the operator is on site the whole time. This is set when we coordinate with the venue and doesn’t change during the show.

Can you draw our company logo?

Yes. The logo is programmed in advance and appears in the air or on a surface - a wall, haze, water. Send us a vector file.

Is smoke or haze needed?

For volumetric beams in the air - yes, a light haze the audience doesn’t notice. For projecting a logo onto a wall - no.

How far ahead of the event should I book?

For a standard show - one week. For a show with new programming to specific music, or with a logo - two. For municipal celebrations and festivals in the summer - the earlier you book, the safer the date.

Can you combine lasers and fireworks?

Yes, when the venue allows both. Then we synchronise them. But more and more often the laser is the only permitted option - which is why this page exists.

Do you rent out lasers without an operator?

Not as a standard service. The show is the programming and the person at the desk. If you’re a production with your own operator - call us and we’ll talk specifics.

Do you sell lasers?

We are partners of Kvant Lasers, Slovakia. The catalogue with prices is on the manufacturer’s site - the link is above.
