Indoor LED screens
Indoors there is no sun and no rain. There is something more unforgiving: a customer a metre and a half from the screen. They see every dot, every blotch and every cheap solder joint - and draw a conclusion not about the screen but about the shop.
We build indoor screens that hold up to close viewing: shop windows, retail spaces, lobbies, halls and studios. A picture that is solid at one metre - and clean in a phone photo. See them at Teodor, Alchemista and Asics, and photograph them with your own phone before you order.
No visible pixels, even a hand’s span away · 7680 Hz - no banding on camera · In-house installation and service · 50-month warranty
One screen that does the work of a shop window
Most of our indoor-screen clients are not shopping centres but shops: one or two screens, under ten square metres, in the window or on the wall facing the entrance. Teodor, LLaGGi, Alchemista, Asics, MDL, Delirium - places where the screen is the face of the brand, not a piece of technical equipment.
The conversation usually starts with “we want to put up a screen, about this big”. From there it is our job: pitch to suit the viewing distance, brightness to suit the lighting, installation that does not stop trading, and training someone on your team to change the content.
A shop window works every day - with a printed display that costs design, printing and a fitter for every promotion, and “-50% from tomorrow” never starts tomorrow. A screen turns the maths around: the new offer goes live from your phone, the minute you decide on it.
The price up front, before the details: a shop window comes to €1 350-1 800/m² excl. VAT, with everything included. What exactly “everything” means - the full list is in the price section below.
At a metre and a half, everything shows
The rule from the sales page: minimum viewing distance in metres ≈ the pitch number. Indoors this rule becomes merciless, because the distances are short.
| Situation | Distance | Pitch |
|---|---|---|
| Shop window facing the pavement | 2-5 m | P2-P3 |
| Screen inside the shop | 1.5-3 m | P1.86-P2.5 |
| Reception, lobby | 2-4 m | P1.86-P2.5 |
| Studio / screen in shot | 1-2.5 m | P1.25-P1.86 |
| Mall - corridor, atrium | 3-8 m | P2.5-P4 |
The Teodor screen in Mall Plaza Plovdiv is P1.5 - a pitch at which a customer can put their nose to the picture and still not see pixels. It is finer than usual for a shop window, and so more expensive per square metre. Most quotes for a wall like that would offer P2.5, because it is a third cheaper per square metre. The difference shows every day, to every passer-by, at a metre and a half.
In the chain’s other stores the screens are P2 - the finer pitch in Plovdiv is a decision for that particular window, not a rule. But every shop window needs the maths done from the viewing distance, not from the price per square metre.
A shop window facing direct afternoon sun is the borderline case: there even a bright indoor panel can wash out. For windows like that we put outdoor modules behind the glass - brighter, with more contrast in the sun, and more expensive per square metre. How much exactly, we tell you at the site visit, not after installation.

Why “Full HD LED screen” often means nothing
You will come across quotes that say “Full HD LED screen”. It sounds like a guarantee of quality. Check one number before you believe it: how many pixels the screen actually has.
Full HD means 1920 × 1080 pixels - a 16:9 ratio, like a TV. But an LED screen is built from cabinets, and its size is set by the space, not by the standard. A 3 × 2 metre screen at P3 is 1000 × 666 pixels - a third of the pixels of Full HD. If your content is Full HD video, it gets scaled down and the detail is lost.
Even more misleading is the reverse: a “Full HD” label on a screen whose shape is not 16:9 at all. Then either the picture is stretched and faces get wider, or it is cropped, or black bars are left at the sides.
There are two real questions:
- What the screen’s actual resolution is - width × height in pixels, not a label.
- What content you will play - and who will prepare it at the right size. (We set up the player and train someone on your team - it is included in the price.)
A screen bought by its label instead of its resolution is a screen on which the content never looks the way it did in the sales brochure.
The “Full HD” label is only one of the tell-tale signs to look for in a quote.
Your screen will be photographed every day
A shop window in a mall gets photographed constantly - by you for Instagram, by customers for their stories, by bloggers at an opening. And this is where the difference shows that the eye does not see but the camera always does: the refresh rate. A screen at 1920 Hz comes out in a photo with dark bands across the picture; on video the bands crawl. Your brand - broken in every story.
That is why we order 7680 Hz. The strictest test of that number is television: our screens work at bTV, BNT, NOVA and Euronews - including live election studios, where every flicker of the picture is seen by the whole country and there is no second take.
Test it yourself before you buy from anyone: photograph the screen with your phone. If there are bands, you have just seen your future marketing material. Or watch the comparison: the same screen, the same camera, two different refresh rates.
Screen or shop window? Transparent LED says: both
The classic shop dilemma: a screen on the window wins attention but hides the shop. Transparent LED solves it - the graphics hang in the glass itself, while the shop, the products and the people behind them stay visible. A passer-by sees the flying trainer and the shelves behind it at the same time.
When it makes sense: shop windows where you do not want to give up transparency; glass facades; spaces where light and the view inside are part of the concept. When it does not: if you are after maximum brightness and a solid picture - there the classic panel wins.
And the price surprises in the right direction: transparent sits at the level of the coarsest indoor pitch - from €1 125/m², lower than a solid shop-window screen. You pay for it with a sparser picture up close - so it is a solution for the glass, not a replacement for a solid screen.

“Our shop window is one screen - transparent LED. We thought about it for a long time: a solid screen wins attention, but it hides the shop. This one shows the current campaign, and people still see the products inside. It has run without interruption since 2025, and one of our own people changes the content from a computer, in 2 minutes.”
“Why not just a TV?”
A fair question - a TV is cheaper and you can buy one in the shop next door. The differences show from the third month:
A TV is designed for a living room: a few hours in the evening, close viewing, a standard size. In a shop window it runs 12 hours a day, shines against daylight and comes in the size the factory decided - not the one the window needs. The panel fades, the format does not fit, and from the pavement it is a black rectangle on the wall.
An LED screen is built to the exact size of the window, is bright enough and has a panel life of ≥100 000 hours (until brightness drops to 50%) - over 20 years at 12 hours a day. It is seen from the whole floor, not from a metre away.
If the budget is for a TV and the screen will be viewed up close in a dark part of the space - a TV may be enough, and we will tell you so. For a shop window that has to stop passers-by - it is not.
The shop does not close for a screen
Indoor installation has a rule that is not written in the quotes: the business stays open. So we plan the installation around trading, not the other way round - out of hours where needed, with covered shelving and a clean space by the morning. The crew is ours, not a subcontractor you are meeting for the first time - and that same crew is then responsible for the service too.
Handover ends with a configured player, tests and a trained person from your team. From then on, changing the content is up to you - without waiting for us and without paying for every video.
What an indoor LED screen costs
A shop window seen from the pavement needs a fine pitch, P2-P3: €1 350-1 800/m² excl. VAT. A screen inside the space or at reception (P1.86-P2.5) is €1 600-2 000/m², and a studio with a camera up close (P1.25-P1.86) - €2 000-3 000/m². The ranges overlap because the pitches overlap - the distance decides the exact number. The coarsest indoor pitch, P4 (from €1 125/m²), is for corridors and atriums viewed from 4+ metres - rarely for a shop window.
Every price also includes the eight things a screen needs to run: panels, structure, controller, a Lenovo ThinkPad with licensed Windows and playback software, delivery in Sofia, installation, setup and training for someone on your team. Look for the same eight lines in any other supplier’s quote - and count them here too.
A real example: a shop window 3.20 × 1.92 m at P2 - €11 059 excl. VAT, with everything listed above.

The same technology - from six square metres to a whole mall
And the large spaces - malls, bank and office-building lobbies, universities - are the same technology on a bigger scale: The Mall, Mall of Sofia, Delta Planet Varna, Mega Mall, Mall Plaza Plovdiv, First Investment Bank, Business Park Sofia, Advance Business Center 1 and 2, the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), Hotel Central Park.

“We started with KVANT more than 8 years ago. Today they are behind 160 m² of P4 in Mall of Sofia, 70 m² at each of the two receptions of Advance Business Center and another 32 m² in Sofia Tower - over 330 m² in total. You don’t order a second and a third site from a supplier who let you down on the first.”
“We bought a 64 m² P1.2 wall from KVANT in Bulgaria for our conference facility. Fine pitch at this size leaves no room for error - the team delivered, and the support since has been direct and fast.”
If something happens after installation
The warranty is 50 months, and behind it stands our own service team, not a middleman for someone else’s: parts in stock in Sofia and the same crew that installed the screen. If the screen goes dark - usually within 2 working days in Sofia, within 4 elsewhere in Bulgaria. With a single faulty module - a planned visit with the parts in hand, while the shop window keeps working. It is sorted with a call to +359 894 772 002, not with a support ticket sent abroad.
Questions about indoor screens
What LED screen do I need for a shop window?
For a shop window seen from the pavement at 2-5 metres - pitch P2-P3, brightness 800-1200 cd/m². If the window gets direct sun through the glass, discuss outdoor modules behind the glass - we tell you at the site visit.
What is the difference between an LED screen and a TV in a shop window?
A TV is limited in size, brightness and lifespan at 12 hours a day - and it is designed for a living room, not for continuous operation. An LED screen is built to the exact size of the window, is bright enough and has a panel life of ≥100 000 hours (until brightness drops to 50%) - over 20 years at 12 hours a day.
How much does an indoor LED screen for a shop cost?
Shop window (P2-P3): €1 350-1 800/m² excl. VAT. Screen inside the space or at reception (P1.86-P2.5): €1 600-2 000/m². The coarsest pitch, P4 - from €1 125/m², for corridors and atriums viewed from 4+ metres. All prices include everything - the full list is in the price section. The exact price - in the calculator.
What content can the screen play, and who prepares it?
Video, images, scheduled playlists. We set up the player and train someone on your team to change the content themselves - it is included in the price. For the videos themselves, we work to the format and resolution of the specific screen.
Will the shop have to close during installation?
No. We plan the installation around the opening hours - including at night where necessary. In the morning the space is clean and trading carries on.
What is a transparent LED screen and what is it good for?
A screen with spaced-out pixels that lets light and the view through - the graphics appear “in the glass”, while the shop behind stays visible. Suitable for shop windows and glass facades where transparency matters; when you need maximum brightness and a solid picture, the classic panel is the better choice. On price, transparent often comes out more affordable than a solid shop-window screen - the numbers are in the transparent screens section above.
Why do some LED screens show bands in photos?
Because of a low refresh rate - the eye does not see it, the camera always does. Our screens run at 7680 Hz: no bands in photos or video. Test any screen with your phone before you buy.
