P1.5 LED screen on the front of a Teodor store in Mall Plaza Plovdiv

LED screens for sale - published prices, installation and a 50‑month warranty from the installation date.

The facade that can be seen from two boulevards. The lobby wall that says “this is serious” before the first handshake.

That is what we sell - not panels in boxes. The screen arrives delivered, installed, set up, and with your team trained. And with one more thing whose value you only see later: a 50-month warranty that is carried out in Sofia, not in China.

Since 2003 · 50-month warranty · In-house service in Bulgaria · Over 1000 projects

Teodor, Mall Plaza Plovdiv - P1.5, the screen that works instead of a shop window. Walk past and shoot it on your phone.

What an LED screen costs

Almost every conversation with us starts the same way: “We want to put up a screen. About this big.” And the first real question is the price.

The price is set per square metre and depends on two things: where the screen will be (indoors or outdoors) and how far away people will watch it from (pixel pitch - the closer they are, the finer the pitch and the higher the price).

Prices per square metre, excl. VAT

Prices per square metre, excl. VAT
ClassPrice excl. VATTypical use
Indoorfrom €1 125/m² (P4)corridors, atriums, halls (viewed from 4+ m)
Outdoorfrom €1 130/m² (P8)facades, totems, outdoor sites

Our price per square metre covers the whole solution - panels, structure, controller, delivery in Sofia, installation, set-up and training. We do not sell boxes of panels; we hand over a working screen.

The “from” prices are for the coarsest pitch in each class - P4 indoors, P8 outdoors. A shop window viewed from two metres needs P2-P3 and costs more per square metre. That is why there are three real calculations below the table, not one general figure.

Three examples with real sizes (the sizes follow the LED module - that is why the numbers look “odd”, not round):

  • Shop window 3.20 × 1.92 m, P2€11 059 excl. VAT
  • Mall corridor 3.84 × 2.56 m, P3€13 271 excl. VAT
  • Facade 5.12 × 2.88 m, P5€19 907 excl. VAT

Every price covers the whole solution: panels, structure, controller, delivery in Sofia, installation, set-up.

Your shop window costs you rent every month - however many people it stops. And a printed display that takes a fitter to change is late exactly when it needs to be up “right now”.

“We have stores in Paradise Center, Mall Plaza Plovdiv and Delta Planet Varna, and all three have LED screens from KVANT. A store in a mall opens on a fixed date, and the fit-out always runs late. KVANT told us early on which cables were needed and where they had to run, the other teams laid them - and the screen came on in time in all three. And the product on the screen has the colour of the product on the shelf; for cosmetics that is no small thing. Customers take photos of it - we have never had a better sign.”

What the price includes

On handover day you do not get boxes and a manual. You get a glowing wall, a person on your team who already knows how to change the content, and our phone number - which, later on, someone actually answers.

Here is what the price includes, point by point:

  1. LED screen - panels at 7680 Hz, gold wire in the diode, brightness to suit the location (800-1200 cd/m² indoors, 5000+ outdoors).
  2. Colorlight system - professional controller and content management software.
  3. Structure - a steel structure designed for the specific site and size.
  4. Delivery - to the site in Sofia. Outside Sofia - by agreement, stated in the quote.
  5. Installation - KVANT’s own team, the same people who come back later for service.
  6. Set-up and testing - commissioning and a full check of all systems.
  7. Training - training your team to work with the system and the software.
  8. Computer - Lenovo ThinkPad with licensed Windows and playback software, included in the price.

One point that saves you an unpleasant surprise: when you compare quotes, check whether the structure, installation, controller and set-up are included. In many “per square metre” quotes they come on top - and in the end the cheap option costs more.

Which pixel pitch for which distance

When you call us, you will probably tell us the size. The first thing we will ask you is something else: where will people be watching it from? Because that decides more than the size - and it is where the expensive mistakes are made.

Pixel pitch is the distance between two neighbouring pixels in millimetres. It is the number after the “P” - P2.5 means 2.5 mm. The smaller the number, the denser the picture up close - and the higher the price.

The rule that works in 90% of cases:

Minimum viewing distance in metres ≈ the pitch number.
P2.5 looks good from 2.5 m onwards. P4 - from 4 m. P8 - from 8 m.

So the choice is not a technical question but a question of “where will people watch it from”:

Situation, typical distance, recommended pitch
SituationTypical distanceRecommended pitch
Shop window facing the pavement2-5 mP2 - P3
Screen inside a shop / showroom1.5-3 mP1.86 - P2.5
Reception, lobby, conference room2-4 mP1.86 - P2.5
Studio / camera close-up1-2.5 mP1.25 - P1.86
Screen in a mall (corridor, atrium)3-8 mP2.5 - P4
Facade facing a street8-20 mP5 - P8
Facade facing a boulevard / long-distance visibility20+ mP8 - P10

Two mistakes we see all the time:

Overpaying for resolution the eye cannot see. P2.5 on a facade viewed from 15 metres costs twice as much as P8 - and from the pavement across the street the two look exactly the same. You have paid for pixels that no passer-by will ever tell apart.

Saving money where people look up close. P4 in a shop window that people walk past at two metres breaks up into coloured dots. The customer steps closer to take a look - and sees a grid instead of a picture. The screen that was meant to sell drives people away.

That is why our first question is never “how many square metres” but “where will people watch it from”.

Besides classic panels, we also offer transparent LED screens - for shop windows where the store has to stay visible behind the picture. More on the indoor screens page.

50-month warranty - carried out in Sofia

In twenty-three years, almost nobody has asked us about the warranty before buying. They ask about the size, the price, sometimes the colour of the frame. They think of the warranty on the day the first dark patch appears on the screen.

So we will tell you now what you will wish you had known then: ask every supplier not how many years they give, but where their warranty is physically carried out.

A warranty where the faulty panel has to travel to China is not really a warranty - shipping takes months, customs clearance costs money, and meanwhile your screen is dark. We know it first-hand: we paid for this lesson years ago.

Our warranty does not send your screen anywhere:

50-month warranty. It runs from the date of installation - not from the invoice, not from production. The standard in Bulgaria is 2 years; the longest we have seen from another supplier is 4. Ours is 50 months, because with a weak factory the first dark patch appears in the very first year - and between the second and the fourth year it is a series. A two-year warranty runs out exactly when you start to need it.

The parts are in Sofia. Key components are in stock. A faulty module is taken out and replaced on site; the screen goes nowhere.

Dimitar Markov - KVANT. The photo is from an event, not a studio.

Dimitar answers the phone - 0894 772 002, not a call centre. During working hours and on Saturday evening - an answer straight away. At night we promise nothing; in the morning, we are the ones who call first. Many problems are solved remotely, before anyone sets off for the site.

When we come. We respond the same day and start by phone - most dark screens are a blown fuse, frozen software, displays swapped on the computer, an update or an unplugged cable, and it ends there. If a visit is needed - usually within 2 working days in Sofia, within 4 elsewhere in Bulgaria; in Sofia there is no charge for labour and transport. If the screen is on and working but has a faulty pixel or module - we come as soon as possible, with the exact module in hand; in the meantime your shop window keeps working. If you need a guaranteed response time in the contract, you can have it - priority service, priced according to the response time.

After the warranty, we do not disappear. For every screen we install, we keep spare modules - for its whole life. After month 50, parts, labour and transport are paid for - but first we pick up the phone, diagnose remotely and decide together. Most often it is a transformer or a card for about twenty euros; whatever it is, we tell you before we set off, not after.

What the numbers in a quote mean - and which ones matter to you

7680 Hz refresh rate. You shoot the new collection for Instagram - and in the shot the screen is covered in black bands. A customer films your shop window and posts it to their story - your brand looks broken. You bought a screen so that people would see you, and every photo of it works against you. The cause is a low refresh rate: the eye does not catch it, the camera always does. And it cannot be fixed with software - it is built into the drivers. That is why we order 7680 Hz, not 1920.

Same screen, same camera. Left - 1920 Hz, the way many cheap screens run. Right - 5500 Hz. The video was shot on a 5500 Hz panel; our current panels are 7680 Hz - the difference from 1920 is the same kind, only bigger. It is not a setting on request - this is how they always run.

Brightness (cd/m²). A July afternoon, the sun hits the facade - and the cheap screen is just a dark rectangle that looks switched off. Outdoors, against direct sun, you need 5000+ cd/m². Indoors, 800-1200 is enough - more only dazzles your customers and wastes electricity.

Up to 45% lower power consumption. Compared with the standard panels of the same class that the competition works with. By specification: 145-194 W/m² against the usual 200-300 W/m² for the same pitch and brightness. A shop window is lit 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Over 5 years, the difference in electricity between a cheap and a quality driver can eat up the whole “saving” from the cheaper screen. Compare the purchase price together with the electricity cost for your operating hours.

What is inside the diode. Inside an LED diode there is a microscopic bonding wire - gold, copper or iron. Gold is stable; iron is cheap and wears out: the diode starts to flicker, change colour, go dark. You cannot see this on a spec sheet. You see it after two years - on your shop window.

LED screen with dead pixels and bands from a low refresh rate
Not our screen, Greece: dead pixels and bands on camera. This is what a cheap panel looks like after two years.

IP protection (for outdoor screens). IP65 means protection against dust and rain. 30-40% of long-term failures in outdoor screens come from moisture getting into cheap cabinets - not from the LEDs themselves.

≥100 000 hours of panel life (until brightness falls to 50%). Over 20 years at a 12-hour working day. With quality components, the screen becomes outdated before it wears out.

Our screens are working - go and see them

Our screens are on every day, for years on end - and you can check them before you talk to us. Walk through The Mall, Mall of Sofia, Delta Planet Varna, Mega Mall, Mall Plaza Plovdiv, Cinema City, First Investment Bank, Business Park Sofia, Advance Business Center 1 and 2, the University of National and World Economy, Hotel Central Park, Constantinoff restaurant or the Teodor, LLaGGi, Alchemista, Asics, MDL, Delirium stores. Shoot them on your phone - and see whether there are bands.

We also work where you cannot just walk in: bTV, BNT, NOVA, Euronews, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Elatsite-Med, Festo. Our outdoor screens work from the Rhodope snow to the sea salt - for the municipalities of Dospat, Lovech, Banite, Laki, Chepelare and Etropole and on the coast in Nessebar and Sunny Beach. And for XR productions like those for Louis Vuitton, Range Rover, Siemens, BritBox and L’Oréal, the LED wall is the film set.

The factories the panels come from

Since 2015 we have worked with four factories, and each has its role. One - for projects where the budget decides. One with a green certificate and drivers with up to 45% lower consumption than standard panels of the same class (145-194 W/m² against the usual 200-300 W/m²) - for screens that are on for 12 hours every day. And Absen and Unilumin - when the project calls for a global brand.

All four go through the same criteria, forged from that lesson: gold wire in the diode, 4-5 layer circuit boards, 7680 Hz. We go there; they know us by name.

The factory name is not what protects you. What protects you is who takes the faulty module out of your shop window, and whether they have something to replace it with. That is why design, installation, warranty and service stay with us, in Bulgaria.

From “we want to put up a screen” to a working screen

  1. Conversation and site visit - you tell us what you want to achieve. We ask where the screen will be watched from and what the place is like. You do not need to know what pixel pitch is - that is our job.The site visit in Sofia is free. Outside Sofia, we first look remotely - photos and dimensions; we come on site once the project is confirmed.
  2. Quote with the exact configuration - size, pitch, brightness, price. In black and white, everything included, no asterisks.
  3. Final survey and measurements - we come to the site and confirm the millimetres before production.
  4. Production and installation - 5 to 45 days from confirmation of the dimensions, including installation. The panels are usually in stock; the timing is set by the structure and the team’s schedule. You hear the date when we confirm - and if anything moves it, you hear that from us too.
  5. Delivery and installation - our own team, taking care of your site. Not subcontractors you are meeting for the first time.
  6. Set-up, testing and training - we hand over a working screen and a person on your team who already knows how to change the content.

Payment: 10% on signing · 75% on delivery to site - equipment and structure in front of you, before installation · 15% after acceptance with a signed protocol.

What buyers say

“Our hall is on the lower level with no daylight; everything rests on the atmosphere. We put in a large P3 screen from KVANT in 2024, replacing the old plasma video wall. Since then we have had no service calls. The picture carries half the interior.”

“45 Teodor and LLaGGi stores, a new campaign every 20 days. In the old setup that meant print: visuals, fitters, days - and ‘-50% right now’ simply did not happen right now. Now it takes 5 minutes for all the stores. We have been installing in stages for years - over 200 m² of P2 - and we add more every month. You only keep adding if the first screens and the service after them have convinced you.”

“The screens we sell advertising on are our production tool - if a screen goes dark, we lose a client. With KVANT we are in The Mall, Business Park Sofia (3 outdoor totems), Delta Planet Varna, Mega Mall and Mall Plaza Plovdiv - 250 m² in total. In the first week after the big wall was installed, a faulty module appeared 14 metres up - they replaced it on the fourth day, at night, from a cherry picker; for a screen at that height, that is fast. Since 2023 all of them have been running campaigns every day.”

The questions we get most often

How much does an LED screen for a shop cost?

A shop window seen from the pavement needs a fine pitch (P2-P3): €1 350-1 800/m² excl. VAT, with the structure, installation, controller, set-up and training included. A real example: a shop window 3.20 × 1.92 m, P2 - €11 059 excl. VAT. The coarser pitch (P4, from €1 125/m²) is for corridors, atriums and halls viewed from 4+ metres. The exact price takes a minute in the calculator.

Which pixel pitch do I need for a shop window?

For a shop window viewed from the pavement (2-5 m), the usual choice is P2-P3. The rule: the minimum viewing distance in metres is roughly equal to the pitch number.

What warranty do you give, and where is it carried out?

50 months from the date of installation - against a standard of 2 years in Bulgaria - with in-house service and spare parts in stock in Sofia. The screen does not travel abroad for repair: a faulty module is replaced on site.

Is it worth buying an LED screen directly from China?

The price is tempting, but the risk is yours: a warranty repair means months of shipping, temporary export with a bank guarantee and a customs agent - and what arrives is often assembled from diodes from different batches, which cannot be calibrated. We know this from our own experience.

How much electricity does an LED screen use?

It depends on the area, the brightness and the content. Our panels use drivers with up to 45% lower consumption than standard panels of the same class - 145-194 W/m² by specification, against the usual 200-300 W/m² for the same pitch and brightness. For a shop window that is lit 12 hours a day, that is a noticeable difference in the bill over 5 years.

How long does an LED screen last?

A quality panel has a panel life of ≥100 000 hours (until brightness falls to 50%) - over 20 years at a 12-hour working day. In practice, the life is decided by the quality of the diodes and the solder joints, which is why we choose factories that use gold bonding wire and multi-layer circuit boards.

How long do delivery and installation take?

5 to 45 days from confirmation of the dimensions, including installation. The panels are usually in stock in Sofia. The only thing we do not do ourselves is the metal structure - we work with two partners so that we do not depend on one, but it is the structure, together with the team’s schedule, that sets the timing. We give you the date when we confirm.

Do I need a permit for an outdoor LED screen?

For an outdoor screen showing advertising - yes, under the regulations of the municipality concerned, and the requirements differ from city to city. We advise you to check the rules before you buy; we can point you in the right direction for your site. More on the outdoor screens page.

Can you replace a screen bought from another supplier?

Yes - we have done it many times, including for sites whose supplier stopped answering. We inspect the existing structure and power supply and propose a solution that uses them wherever possible.

Can I see the panels before I order?

Yes - come to our warehouse in Sofia and see working modules up close. Or walk past one of our sites in The Mall, Mall of Sofia, Cinema City and others.

Request a quote

You do not need to know what pixel pitch, hertz or IP65 mean - that is what we are here for. Tell us where the screen will be, how big you want it and where people will watch it from.

So that we price delivery and installation into your quote, not later.

Indoors or outdoors

It decides brightness and protection - the two most expensive mistakes when choosing.

Without a size, the price is guesswork. “About 3 by 2” is enough.

Specifics: floor, structure, deadline, anything that worries you.

You will get a specific configuration with a price - not “we’ll be in touch”.
